In Plane, file, fill, sand Niall Robb continues his investigation into surface phenomena and materiality through vernacular tropes of labour. Drawing on his work as a fabricator and framer and the material encounters he experiences, he transforms excess or “waste” materials, planning, filing, sanding and filling to create speculative forms and sculptures.
